5.0 out of 5 stars もう、COAL CHAMBERのデズ・ファファーラじゃないぜ, 2006/11/14
デズ・ファファーラ(Vo)に対し“元COAL CHAMBER”という肩書きはありません。
デズ自体、“DEVILDRIVERのデズ”です。デズは巣箱COAL CHAMBERにいる時よりもまた新たに一皮剥けています。
今回の『THE FURY OF OUR MAKER'S HAND』ですが、前作の『DEVILDRIVER』よりもよくなっていると思います。相変わらず激しさは衰えていません。
聴く人によってはマンネリかと思ってしまうかもしれませんが、僕はマンネリしていないと思います。
DEVILDRIVERはCOAL CHAMBERより聴きやすいと思います。前作を聴いてハマッた人ならば今回の作品もお勧め出来ます。
激しいロックが好きな人にはお勧めのバンドの一つです。

これはセカンド。前作は正直言うと、
クセのあるVoが魅力のラウドロック、
"Coal Chamber"の延長線でしかない。
Voのデズが上記バンドの水面下にて、
進めていた活動だからだろう。けど...

今作からいきなりメロデス的要素が、
ギタリスト交代(?)と共に見受けられ、
北欧メロデスにならったような悲情、
泣きのギターがバンドの大進化へと
繋がっている。前作と聴き比べると、
その圧倒的な大進化に驚くばかり。

しかし逆に減退したのはデズのVoが
中心だったように思える前作と比べ、
しつこーいVoがすこし減ったかも。

個人的にはデズのフックの効いてる
強力なVoは未だに素晴らしく大満足。
メロデス要素にVoのキャッチーさが
合わさって、すっごくいいと思う。

その中でも"Hold Back The Day"は、
アルバム随一だと思った。アルバム
前半は聴き応えがあったけど後半は、
すこしダレてしまった。けど良い。
