さだまさしが他の歌手に提供した楽曲や、
カバーされた楽曲を集めたアルバム。
さだまさしが歌っていないさだまさしのアルバム。

山口百恵の『秋桜』や雪村いづみの『虹』はもちろん、
彩風の『しあわせについて』などの新しい楽曲も収録。
単に素晴らしいだけでなく、貴重でもある一枚。

２００５年にリリースされた１３組の錚々たるアーティストが過去に歌ったさだまさしの楽曲を集めたカヴァーズ・ベスト曲集。
本盤を一聴して感じたのは、さまざまな実力派歌手の方々がさだの歌を自分なりに解釈して高い完成度で歌い上げており、結果として彼の素晴らしい楽曲の魅力が最大限に引き出されているという印象です。聴き慣れたさだヴァージョンと違うアレンジもとても新鮮です。

『秋桜』／山口百恵：アイドル山口百恵の新たな魅力を引き出した不滅の名曲。
『僕にまかせてください』／クラフト：グレープ時代の曲で今では幻のグループとなったデュオの貴重なシングル曲。
『縁切寺』／バンバン：ばんばひろふみ氏の渋い歌声が聴ける懐かしのフォークの名曲。
『セロ弾きのゴーシュ』／森山良子：伸びやかな優しい歌声に励まされる温かな名曲。
『童話作家』／由紀さおり：童謡歌手の由紀さんに相応しいテーマのまろやかな歌唱曲。
