74年10月から76年3月にかけて朝日放送で放映された、園山俊二原作の人気ギャグアニメ「はじめ人間ギャートルズ」の11枚組BOX。ニューテレシネ・デジタルリマスタリング仕様の全134話に加え、特製フィギュアや解説書も封入予定。


内容（「Oricon」データベースより）

1974年~76年に放送されたTVシリーズが初ビデオグラム化のDVD-BOXで登場。原始人の少年と個性溢れるキャラクターたちの暮らしを描いたギャグアニメ。声の出演は丸山裕子、肝付兼太、花形恵子ほか。

放送当時、自分は幼稚園児でしたがこの作品の強烈な印象は未だに忘れられません！
原始時代に生きる主人公家族の（名前は覚えていませんが）笑いあり、涙あり、ドタバタ騒動ありのやかま楽しい日常を描いてる作品。
その中でも、強烈に残っているのはあの美味しそうなマンモスのお肉を食べあさる家族の姿ですね。見事に骨しか残らない豪快な食べっぷりに子供ながらウットリしましたもの。
その当時、本気で『マンモスのお肉が食べたい』と思いましたね。
この作品を知ってる人にも知らない人にも、是非見てほしいおススメの傑作です！
何も考えないで笑えますから（笑）

なんか最近のアニメは（映画でも）妙にマニア受けするものが多いような気がするんです。
昔のアニメはよくも悪くもシンプルで誰が見ても面白く感じるものが多いように思えます。素直に面白いと体が反応する。
原始の時代のゴン少年や暖かい家族と自然の姿。もう一度観て楽しみたいものです。

DVD11枚、放映回数77会・・・。よほどでないかぎり一気には見れないボリュームですが、毎日少しずつ見る事の出来る幸福感はたまりませんね。リアルで見ていた子供時代とは違い、いい大人になった視点で見ると、当時よくわからなかったゴンのとーちゃんの心情が痛いほど伝わって来ます。あと、かーちゃん色っぽすぎ（笑）。
