　イタリア出身の、プログレ／ジャズ・ロック・バンドの、’７６年発表の２nd。
　何と言っても、まず注目なのは、ゲスト参加のNARADA MICHAEL WALDEN、PHIL COLLINS、PERCY JONESといった、英国出身の凄腕大物ミュージシャンである｡こんな豪華な面子は、今後どんなプロジェクトでも実現し得ないだろう。
　言うまでもなく演奏能力は天下一品。加えて、押す所と引く所のメリハリの付け方も、流石達人と感じさせ、単にテクニックのひけらかしで終わってしまうプレイヤーにはない、熟練して身につけられた巧みさが、はっきり分かる。
　勿論、バンドのメンバーもそれに引けを取っておらず、互角に渡り合っている。
　また、楽曲面でもその効果が現れており、明るく派手なイタリア的な部分を英国的な落ち着きのある、繊細で抑え、逆に、地味で大人しすぎになりそうな英国的な部分をイタリア的な奔放さで持ち上げるように、お互いを補い合っているように聞こえる。
　歌詞は英語で歌唱力も十分。同時にイタリアらしさを損なっていない。
　それでも贅沢な注文として、全体的にまとまりすぎている観がなくもなく、腕の立つ実力者が、ハメをはずすような場面があってもよかったと思う。
　けれどもそれは、ほとんど揚げ足取りに近く、それだけ真面目に作ったと解釈するのが妥当だろう。
　いずれにせよ、名実相伴った傑作に間違いない。

ジャケ買いした・・・も過言ではありません。
音楽は、超絶技巧のジャズ風味の利きまくったロックですね。
メンバーも見てみたらスゴイ人ばかりです。
とにかく、息をつかせぬ展開と演奏です。
しかも、これが３０年も近く前にリリースされていたなんて・・・
先人の凄さにただただ感嘆するばかりです。

１９７６年リリース。イタリアのバンドＮＯＶＡのセカンド・・・個人的に、パーシージョーンズ（Ｂ）参加という事で、とにかく聴きたかったアルバムです。正直このバンドに関しては知りませんが、オザンナのエリオダンナとチェルヴェロのコッラードルスティーニらが結成したバンドで本作からニュートロルスのレナートロセットが加入との事です。買ってみて驚いたのが、ドラムがナーラダマイケルウォルデンという事・・・これは知りませんでした！！フィルコリンズ（Ｐｅｒ）・ザキールフセイン（Ｃｏｎｇａｓ）参加、プロデューサーがロビンラムリーですから本当凄いメンバーですよね・・・タイミング的に「モロッカンロール」の直前という事ですから、双子的なアルバムと言っても良いでしょう。意外にも６曲中４曲がコッラードのボーカルをフューチャーしていたので、勝手にインストバリバリを期待していた私はちょっとビックリでした・・・勿論演奏は高水準のものです。インスト１曲目「ＶＩＭＡＮＡ」はなかなか強力・・・パーシージョーンズが一番活躍しているナンバーで、必聴の１曲（ＢＲＡＮＤ　Ｘっぽい、笑）！６曲目はサポートのナーラダの曲で、裏ジェフベック的なメロディラインがしっかりした曲・・・途中転調してロビンラムリーっぽいキーボードソロがあるのは、ご愛嬌といったところ。生きている間にこのアルバムを聴く事が出来て、とにかく嬉しかったですね・・・スタッフの仕事に、惜しみない拍手を送ります。ただこの紙ジャケ仕様は、味気なかったかなあ・・・ジャケットがなかなかシュールで素敵なのですが、ちょっと勿体ないというか。
