シヴァライゼーション３はプレイヤーが文明の指導者となり、軍事、外交、内政、技術開発を手がけて文明を育てていくゲームです。プレイする文明を率いて未発見マップの探検をして、都市を建設して、国土に道路や鉄道を敷設して灌漑などをして文明の繁栄を築いて下さい。このゲームはかなり安いです。しかもターン制なのでじっくり考えながらプレイできます。ちなみに2006年の春にはシヴィライゼーション4が発売されますのでとりあえず３で入門してみたらいかがでしょうか。3は入手が困難ですが。
