Debut solo album from one of the sublime vocalists in Zero 7. The album was recorded over the past few years with some written and produced with Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins). In 2000 she was introduced to Sam and Henry (Zero 7). Sophie began to write with them on their debut album 'Simple Things'. Over time she co-wrote 'Destiny', 'In The Waiting Line' and 'Spinning' and then toured with the band. 'Simple Things' has sold over 1,000,000 copies worldwide. She has also worked with them on their 2nd album 'When it Falls' co-writing 'Passing By' and 'In Time'. Emperor Records. 2005.

Sophie Barker is One of the UK'S Finest Live Acoustic Performers and a Massively Talented Songwriter and this is her Debut Solo Album. Barker is Best Known for her Work with Zero 7, Having Written and Sung on Both of their Albums "Simple Things" and "When it Falls" and Has Co-writing Credits on Some of their Biggest Hits, Including "Destiny", "in the Waiting Line" and "Spinning". She Has also Toured Extensively with Zero 7. Barker also Wrote and Performed with the Likes of Grooverider and Groove Armada on their Million Selling "Vertigo" Album. That the Ethereal Vocals which Made her Such a Natural Partner to the Delicate Funk of Zero Seven Can Sit Alongside These Heavier Dance Producers as Well as Be Laid Bare on the Majority of 'earthbound' is Testament to One of the Country's Greatest Vocal Talent Assets.
