紹介(「丸紅インフォテック」データベースより)

ハードディスク全体または個別のパーティションのデータを完全に消去するツール。古いPCを廃棄したり、リースのPCを返却する際など、使い終わったハードディスクからすべてのデータを、簡単な操作で完全消去することができる。高速アルゴリズムを用いてデータ消去を実行する「高速モード(データ処理回数1回)」、米国国防総省準拠方式のアルゴリズム(DOD 5220.22-M)で消去を行なう「標準モード(データ処理回数4回)」、ピーターグートマン(Peter Gutmann)によるデータ消去アルゴリズムを用いる「完全モード(データ処理回数35回)」を搭載。3つのモードから1つを選んで、パーティション内に存在するデータを消去するほか、パーティションごとだけでなく、ハードディスク全体の消去もできる。また、データ消去を実行した後に、続けて「パーティション削除」や「フォーマット」を実行させることも可能。説明扉付きスリムパッケージ版。

会社のパソコンを廃棄するのに使いました。この手のソフトは頻繁に使わないので、簡単で安くちゃんと機能が付いているのがベスト。説明書がなくても感覚的に使えるなど、機能も操作性も十分でした。
私は利用しませんでしたが、HD全部ではなくパーティション毎にも消去ができるようです。

以前はＨＤＤ消去ツールとして、FDD版の「DATE GONE」（全て英語表示）を使用しておりましたが、
プロトンの「Acronis True Image」がとても使いやすいインターフェイスだった為、消去ツールもプロトンの製品にしてみました。
Windowsにはインストールせず、ＣＤ−ＲＯＭからの起動で使ってみたのですが、
画面もAcronisシリーズ共通の統一された画面で、使い方もとても簡単でした。
スリムパッケージということで、市販のＤＶＤ映画などと同じ大きさのパッケージなのも、場所を取らずに助かります。

HDの完全消去ソフトを探していたところ、このソフトに出会いました。
もっとオプションが必要ならば上位エディションのご購入をお勧めします。私の場合、複数もっているHDとWindowsが動作しているパソコンを素早く消去したかったので十分でしたね。ブートして作動させられるのにこの価格。。。ほんとお手ごろですよ。今は、会社でも活躍中です。一人複数台が主流になるいまの時代。この価格なら一本手元にあると良いと思います。
