明るく楽しく愛らしい映画。カリーナ・ラウとのラブラブ夫婦ぶりは、ある一シーンで頂点に達し、思わず涙が出る程素晴しいです。何げない夫婦の会話、発明品を無邪気に喜ぶ妻、犬も喰わない夫婦喧嘩、２人で旅する爆笑シーンの絶妙さ、もう「愛情物語」ですかこれは、というほど徹底しています。
脇を固める面々も、皇帝役の張達明（チョン・ダッミン）、佛印役の羅家英（ロー・カーイン）、怪しい保龍一族の連絡員（タッツ・ラウ）など多士済々、少林サッカーにも登場していた謎の鼻ほじりオカマちゃんの姿も。

なお、冒頭シーンは古龍作の武侠小説「陸小鳳　決戦前夜」のパロディとなっていますが、事前にアンディ・ラウ、イーキン・チェン出演の「決戦・紫禁城」を見ていると100倍笑えます。
時代的制約のあるパロシーンもありますが、勢いと楽しさで押切られます(笑)

周星馳の古装片(時代劇映画)は傑作揃いなので、品切れていたり日本版のない作品も、気軽に入手できるようになってもらいたいものです。

　チャウ・シンチー作品で人に薦めるなら「少林サッカー」か「食神」。
　個人的ベストを挙げるなら、この作品です。
　映画としての粗を探せば、まぁ色々出てくるのですが、そんなことを気にさせないぐらい楽しい映画です。

　時代劇なのに出てくる人が全員、現代的だったり（字幕では判りませんが、時代劇の文語体で喋っているところを無理やり現代的な口語体で割って入ったりとかしています）。
　チャウ・シンチーの駄目発明家ぶりが笑えるし（でもけっこう役に立ってたりして）。カリーナ・ラウと夫婦を演じていますが、なんだか変なボケ夫婦で笑えます。2人とも素で笑っている感じがいいです。

　そして何と言っても、ロー・ガーイン！
　このオッサン面白いです。「チャイニーズ・オデッセイ」で演じた三蔵法師も良かったですが、コレも良いです。

　主人公側のキャラクターがボケだらけで誰が突っ込むんだ、というような放し飼い状態の楽しい映画。
　今まで廃盤だったんですけど、再販されて本当に良かった良かった。前のも持ってたけど、これも買ってしまうかも。

「食神」のインパクトがあまりに強かったので、「食神」の後で見たこの作品は最初それほど大きな印象を残しませんでした。しかし、何度か観るうちにどんどんはまっていく･･･。今ではチャウ･シンチーの作品の中で１番好きです。
ラブラブ夫婦ぶりがとにかく愛らしくて、２人が笑いながら会話している姿は、素でやってるっていう感じがします。
「００６１~」の続編って言うことですが、話はつながっていません。時代背景も違うし主人公も違います。なので「００６１~」を観ていなくても全然大丈夫ですよ。だけど途中でファが「実は肉屋なんだ」って言って包丁を取り出すシーンは「００６１~」を見てる人しか分からないギャグだと思います。
