   東京の国際大学で福祉を学んでいるカレンは、その授業の一環で郊外の家に住む米国人一家の介護を手伝うことに。その家には軽度の痴呆を抱えた母親エマと、息子のマシューと妻のジェニファーが暮らしていた。だがその部屋に入ったカレンは、エマに襲いかかる得体のしれない黒い影を見てしまう……。
   『呪怨』シリーズの仕掛け人、清水崇監督自身がメガホンを取って作り上げた米リメイク版。呪いのかかった家に入ることで呪いが伝染する同シリーズのおいしいところ取りといった感じだ。呪いの元凶・伽椰子を隠すことなくバンバン見せながら、「来る、来る……来たーっ！」というお化け屋敷的ドッキリ感も変わらず。さらに伽椰子がなぜ夫に殺害されたのかなど、日本の劇場版の『呪怨』では描かれなかった要素もしっかり入り、実に楽しい。（横森文）

言われてるような恐い部分の見せ方ですが、十分及第点だと思います。というか恐いです。でも「なんだコレ」と思う部分もある（天井からにゅるっと出てくるところとか）。初心者にはいいかもしれないという声もあるが、日本版を知っている方にこそ見て欲しい気がする。

何でかって言うと、ストーリーの不明な部分がかなり描かれているから。映画の後半では「なるほど」と思わせるような部分が結構ありました。むしろ初心者の方だと、時間軸のズレに戸惑ってしまうかもしれないので、ある程度「知ってる」方が見やすいんじゃないかな？

とりあえず甘く見てるとヤバイ･･･最初の演出で「たいしたこと無いな」とか思ってましたが、中盤後半と段々恐さが増してきました。

来る･･･！と分かっていてもビビるこの恐さ、どうぞ味わってみてはいかがでしょうか。

分かりやすくなったのは良いですが、日本版の湿った感じは、
やはり日本人向けを外国の方に向けてリメイクしたものである為、薄まっており、気味の悪さは減りました。
そもそも日本人がレビューする内容では無いのかも知れません(と書きつつレビューしてるんですが)。

話を変えて、特典映像の話ですが、どれも興味深く、特に二つの短編は呪怨ファンの方なら面白いでしょう。

　正直言ってまんま日本版です。
　舞台も日本、設定も全て日本。違うのは主役、恋人、被害家族が外人である事だけです。ストーリーもほぼ「呪怨　劇場版」。
　それはそれで安心したというか。。。全然違う視点のハリウッドリメイクも期待しなかったわけじゃないですけど、「呪怨」はこれでで良いのではないでしょうか。実際、怖いですし、ジャパニーズホラーとしては最高峰ですから。私は「呪怨」大好きなので、不満はありませんでした。
