元スマパンのビリー・コーガンの待望のソロアルバム。
最近のインタビューで「今３８歳だけど、３４年間はうそで固めて生きてきた」と、ある意味で衝撃的なことを言っていたが、その意味はこういうことではないかと思う。スマパン時代はイノセントの喪失を美しくも激しく、御伽噺のような世界のアートワークで発表してきた。それは、自身の内面をさらけ出すというよりは、理想やまたそれの対になる絶望を歌ってきた。しかし、そういう理想や絶望は、そういう自身の内面の投影であって決して自身の内面を赤裸々に歌った歌はなかったかもしれないが、十分に正直な表現だったと思う。そして今回、ソロアルバムでは、生まれつき持っている体のあざをジャケットにし、自身の内面を赤裸々に綴った作品だということだと思う。
しかし、劇的に何かが変わっているわけではなく、スマパン時代に歌っていたイノセントの喪失と絶望を持つ人間の音楽として、また、単純に音楽的にも、スマパンファンとしてごく自然に聞ける。音楽的にはデジタル音を積極的に用いた冷ややかさと暖かみを兼ね備えたサウンドだということで『アドア』に近い。
すべてのスマパンファンにおすすめだし、せつなさと暖かさと冷ややかさを兼ね備えたような音楽の好きな人（わかりにくいか？）にもおすすめです。

ジャケット写真だけでなく、コーガン脱皮！のソロデビュー音。
スマパンへの自分の思いに抵抗するかのごとき痛々しかったZwanの音とは違い、
自分自身の全てを素直に受け入れたかのような完璧な前進力満載の新しい音が出来上がっている。
ステレオで聴くよりもヘッドホン向け。
聴けば聴くほどその濃厚な味わいがジワジワと染みてくる。
ライヴではどのようなアレンジを仕掛けてくれるのか、8月の来日公演が待ち遠しい。

ＺＷＡＮという、いまいちパッとしないバンドも解散し、
待ちに待ったソロ作。まず、「うわぁ」と
目を逸らしてしまうような、想像以上のビリーの痣。
もう、どの位彼が吹っ切れてるか、ここで分かる。
ソロにありがち内省的な作風ではなく、
うるさすぎず、攻撃的な感じ。
特に＃３は秀逸。
アドアみたく、聞き込んで良さがでる感じ。
長い付き合いになりそうだ。
よろしく、ビリー。
