ニューアルバム「そうかな」は、2000年4月19日発売の「個人主義」以来、5年ぶりとなるオリジナルアルバムで、この5年間に、TVドラマやCM等、数々のタイアップ曲を手がけ、CD化の要望が多かっただけに、待望のアルバムです。
収録曲は、明治安田生命の企業CM曲「たしかなこと」をはじめ、NHKアニメ「雪の女王」（アンデルセン童話、声：涼風真世）
エンディングテーマ曲「大好きな君に」など、オリジナルアルバムとしては前代未聞の全曲タイアップが付いており、オリジナルでありながらベスト盤のようなアルバムとなっています。

　小田さんといえば･･･そう!思い当たるのが『オフコース』だと思います。
小田さんの『オフコース時代』は、ロックに近い曲調の曲を
ガンガン『楽しんでいた』ようなきがします。

　しかし、この『小田和正 ソロアルバム』『そうかな』は、2000年以降に小田さんが
CDシングルを出版し、TVCMに採用されたり、ドラマの主題歌へ採用されたり、あらゆる分野で
聴くことの出来る『小田さんの曲』を集め、収録したものです。
@の『まっ白』をはじめ、Bの『大好きな君に』、F『たしかなこと』など、
『小田和正』としての『名曲中の名曲』が完全にそろっています。

　このアルバムは、買う価値ありですね。

『自己ベスト』は売れただけであってクオリティーが高くない作品が多い。選曲ミスもこれまた多い。個々の作品で売れた＝質が高いベストと考えるのはナンセンス。ドラマ＆CFなどのタイアップ効果だけで売れた捨て曲に近い駄作も多々あった。しかしあのようなセルフカバーを筆頭に「捨て曲」が多いベストアルバムよりは『そうかな』のほうが余程素晴らしい。

このアルバムジャケットの図は相対性理論の図ですね。
そしてアルバムの片隅に小さく相対性の彼方とあります。もしかしてこのそうかなっていうのは相対性の彼方っていう言葉の短縮ではないでしょうか？本当のことはわかりませんが。

今まで耳にしてもＣＤ化してない曲がたくさんあったんですがそれがＣＤ化されるとあってとてもうれしいです。
特に「明日」という曲はメッセージ性がとても強い名曲なので楽しみです。
