過酷なツアー生活で培った精神力をそのままバンドの成長に繋げた傑作である。
VOのTimの叫びはあたかも自分の心の中の哀しみや怒りを全てさらけだしているかのようである。
楽曲面ではより緩急の付け方が巧みになりながらも、前作で感じた様な威圧感を損なっていない。
演奏面でもタイトさが増し、自分達の己に対する自信を存分にアピールしている。
その反面Gの音がキレ不足なのは気になった。その点は次作で改善してもらいたい。
LOUDPARKでも感じたが、ライブにおける威圧感は凄まじく、今ノリに乗っている事が分かる。これからも順調に成長していってもらいたいバンドだ

前作から聴いてる人には聴きやすいという印象を持たせた作品だと思います
サウンドプロダクションが向上したんでしょうね
今のAILDは完璧にスラッシュ方向に傾いているのでミドルテンポ主体のメタルコアを聴きたい場合はオススメの作品でしょう
ですが2ndのように強烈な印象は、あまり感じられませんでした
僕としては4曲目が一番のお気に入りです

最近、メタル・コアにハマッてる俺はAS I LAY DYINGの3stアルバム『SHADOWSARE SECURITY』を購入しました。
2stアルバムの『FRAIL WORDS COLLAPSE』より聴きやすくなっています。
もう、1曲目の“Meaning In Tragedy”からにして聴きやすいです。
メタル・コアながらも北欧メロデス的な感じが漂います。また、シャウトだけではなく、クリーンヴォイスも聴かせてくれます。
メタル・コアが好きない人は一回でいいから聴いてみてください。聴いて損はないと思いますよ。
また、AS I LAY DYINGを初めて聴くという人ならばこちらの『SHADOWS ARE SECURITY』から聴いた方がいいと思います。
ですが、ライブで最後に演奏される“Forever”が聴いてみたいという人は“Forever”が収録されてる2stアルバム『FRAIL WORDS COLLAPSE』から聴いてみてもいいと思います。
俺的にオススメ曲は1、2、3、4、5、6、8、9、11ってことですね。俺はこのアルバムを「俺的今年のメタルアルバム・ベスト5」の3位か、2位に入れたいですね。いや、このアルバムは傑作なの2位に入れます。
このアルバムの評価は星五個じゃ足りません。 俺的に星百個です。
同じNWOAHM系のSHADOWS FALL、KILLSWITCH ENGEGE同様AS I LAY DYINGはこれからどんどん応援していきたいバンドです。
これから、頑張ってください。ファンとして、俺は貴方達(AS I LAY DYING)が成長することを期待してますよ。
言い忘れましたが、日本盤にはDVDが付いてます(あ、俺が言わんくても表示されてっから分かるか…? アハハハ…ッ)(笑)。
