余程気が合わなければ共同プロデュースをさせてくれないことで有名な奇才MISSY ELLIOTT。それ故に盟友TIMBALANDとの共同作業はシェア90％以上を締め、革新的なビートを構築し、風変わりなトラックを作っているとTIMBALANDが騒がれれば、大抵その横にはMISSYがいる。逆に彼女のほとんどの曲にはTIMBALANDがプロデューサーとして隣に座っているのが定番だった。

しかし彼女の心境に変化が見え始めたのは前作の頃。前作ではレーベルに急かされていたこともあり、早急なアルバム製作を求められた。故にMISSYにとっては不満な出来栄えであり、急がせたことをTIMBALANDは良く思っていなかったようだ。だからと言って決して仲が悪くなったとは思えないが、その頃からMISSYの単独プロデュース仕事が増え、マドンナなどの意外なコラボレートを重ねていく。沈没寸前のMONICAを全米1位に輝かせたのも彼女の功績だ。
勢いを付けたMISSYは親友のTWEETを総合プロデュースさせて成功し、アメリカンアイドルの司会、合格者へのプロデュースも行い、色々な面でメジャーな活躍を増やしていた。

その影響からか、今作ではTIMABALDとの仕事は最小限に抑え、レーベル外からも多くのプロデューサーを招いている。ビヨンセや50CENTで大ヒットシングル連発のスコット・ストーチとは意外なミディアムバラードを共作。また昔からやりたかったというネプチューンズとも初コラボ。エイメリーのような曲を提供したのはやはり新鋭プロデューサーのリッチ・ハリスン。シアラへのゲスト参加で大ヒットさせたことへの恩返しでシアラが参加したファーストシングルは実に風変わりなダンストラック。PVでは器用にダンスを披露。ビックリ箱のようなアルバムの世界が続いてゆく。

最初全体を流して聞いた時は「あれ？」と思いましたが、よく聴いたら
やられました。　特にやられたのは10曲目です。
こんな切ない音が出せるなんて。
切なすぎる。
