学生だった頃にＳＩＯＮのデビュー作とセカンドを毎日のように聴いていた。
そういえば当時はアナログレコードだったな。

あれから約２０年。久しぶりにＳＩＯＮの作品を買って聴いた。
すっかり社会人になり、女房、子供を持ち何か自分が変わったように思っていたが、
彼の声、詩、そしてそれらを聴いて自分の心が揺さぶられる感覚は、何も変わっていない事に気づかされた。

２０年ぽっちの時の流れが人間を変える事って大した事ないんだなと思った。

商業主義全盛の日本の音楽に愛想尽きて洋楽を聴きルーツを探る事で頭でっかちにロックに接してきた。いい歳になってもまだまだ青臭い気持ちを捨て切れずにもしかしたら良い音楽に出逢えるかも知れない．．．
そう考えながら毎日自分でも音楽やってますが．．．東京ノクターン．．．やられました。何処へ行くんだろう~道があるなら．．．まるで人生の縮図みたいな楽曲構成。GROOVERSの藤井氏が陶酔するのもよくわかる。まるでフランス映画のように等身大の人としてそこに存在している　シオン。人生の酸いも甘いも噛み砕いてここまで歩き　そしてまだ歩く事を止めない。ハリウッド映画の主人公の様な特別な才能もありえない設定も其処には無い。ただ一人の心優しき酔いどれが歩いてきた足跡が俺たちに話しかけてくれているような．．．そんなアルバム。おそらくこれまでのシオンの最高傑作であり俺が人にシオンを語るときに欠かせない一枚である事は間違いない。

　SIONはやっぱりアコースティックが合ってる。声がアコースティックそのものだし。天気のいい朝にこのアルバムを聞いていると、海を見たくなる。なんとも切なく心にしみる1枚。６の福山のギターも悲しいくらいにきれい。そういえば、昔アコギ1本でコンクリート・リバー歌ってたSIONはやっぱりかっこよかったなぁ。
