このCDについて

約1年ぶりに発表される3rdアルバム。1stアルバムの中に漂っていた春の香りのようなメロディーと、恋に落ちた時の胸の痛みを、暖かくつつみこんでくれるような2ndアルバムの歌が、一つの結晶となり、ジャパニーズポップスの今を作り上げている。

【プロフィール】　染谷大陽、永井祐介、榊原香保里によって2000年2月に結成。ボサノバなどがもつ柔らかいコード感や、ソウルやシティポップスの持つ洗練されたサウンドをベースにし、二人の甘い声と、独特な緊張感が絡み合い、思わず胸を締めつけられるような雰囲気を作り出している。

「そよ風アパートメント２０１」、「恋人へ」も良かったけど、断然このアルバムのほうが良い。独自の詩の世界観に加え曲もいい。そして何よりもうたを大切にしているのがひしひしと伝わってくる。そしてふと懐かしさがこみあげてくる。個人的にはこのアルバムの中でも「今夜も君にテレフォンコール」が一番好きです。

とにかく極上のポップである。これは、聴けば分かる!
つまり、一聞百見にしかず!である。
音はライトメロウシティポップのライン上にあるのですが…
うまい具合いに90年代の音が入り今の気分にピッタリです。
でありながら、僕にとってはエバーグリーンになると宣言できる1枚です。

今回も8曲入り38分と決して無理をしないLampの3rd(2005年作)。
ちなみに1stは6曲、2ndは8曲入り。

一聴して違いの分かる良質な歌モノです。「〜風」とでも言えそうな若手の多い中、自分たちのムードをというのが、完全に確立されているというのは、とても貴重なことでしょう。あえて言えば、日本語を大切にし、シックなアレンジとめくるめくメロディ展開をする点でキリンジが近いのかとも思いますが、キリンジに負けてない琴線を刺激しまくる天性のメロディ勘というのが備わっているので、聴いているうちに、Lamp独自の世界に引き込まれています。

ボーカルは特に素晴らしく、こういうオールド・タイプとも言えるシティポップス的な若者たちを想像されるのにぴったりです。イノセントな女性のコーラスもこの透明な世界をいっそう純化しています。演奏が、多少もたつく部分は、むしろ味として捉えることも可能です。街を歩いていたら、公園で遊ぶ人たちのラジカセから流れてきて、ふと足を止めて耳を傾けてしまう、そんな音楽だと思います。
