　久しぶりのアルバムについて言えば、「終わり」をすごく意識しているなぁと感じました。
　今までの自分的SOULSETのイメージは、モラトリアムというか、永遠に続くかに思える若者の気だるさのようなものが、ループサウンドと相まって、うまくにじみ出ている感じだったのですが、今作ではそう言ったものがほとんどありませんでした。それは良い悪いではなく、ソウルセット的でありながらも、今までとは何かが違う。リズムのせいなのか、焦燥感にかられるような曲が増えました。
　
　ビッケの詩はほぼ全ての曲で「終わり」や「果て」という言葉が出てきます。もしかしてこれで彼らは終わりなのか？
　というか、５年ぶりのアルバムはもしかしてラストアルバムなのか、という不安が浮かびます。
　このアルバムのタイトルでもある「OUTSET」は文句なく名曲です。約８分の大作ですが、迫り来るものがあります。３人が、その全てをぶつけているオーラのようなものが本当に伝わってきます。だからこそ、このまま燃え尽きてしまうのではないかと焦ります。
　ところが、アルバムタイトルは「OUTSET(始まり)」です。
　じゃあ、彼らにとっての「終わり」とは何なのか。それは「目的地」なのかなと自分は思います。彼らは「終わり」を意識することで、今までの曖昧さから抜けて、向かうべき道(のようなもの)が定まったのかなと思いました。
　ジャケット内のイラストも、３人の登山者が雪山の頂上を目指して歩き始めた絵が描かれており、彼らはまだ登山道の入り口に着いたに過ぎないのだと思います。(そう思いたいです)

　モラトリアムを脱した彼らのこれからを、自分もまだ追いかけたいと思います。

ひさしぶりのソウルセット。ビッケの詩はナタリーでも聴けたいたけれど、やっぱりソウルセットでは、緊張感がちがうなあ。ビッケの節回しも今までになくピリッとしているし、川辺さんのトラックもかっこいい。俊美くんの歌も好きだなあ。ただ、詩はけっこう暗い。

約六年ぶりとなってしまった新作アルバムで感激してる。
今回一番印象に残ったのは音そのものがメタリックなホラーということ。
そして全体として思うのは映画でいうとエンディングへと向かう加速的な音楽だということ。なんらかの流れがそこへと向かわせている、そして　そこへ流れこんでいく　という感じの音楽だなって思った。

風景という音楽　それは風という音楽　それがTOKYO No.1 SOUL SETなんですね＾＾

個人的に好きなのはStillという曲は好きかな＾＾
