いまや地元・関西を飛び越えて日本を代表するスカ・バンドにまで成長した感のあるマイスティース。そんな彼らの約1年ぶりとなるアルバムが完成。前作『baby』で展開したメロウでセンチメンタルな世界観から一転、今作ではカリプソやラテンの要素を節々に取り入れた躍動感あふれるサウンドを聴かせてくれる。全10曲を36分強で聴かせるコンパクトな作品構成も痛快だ。そんな今作を耳にして真っ先に思い浮かぶのは、スカッと晴れわたるヌケのいい青空。聴き進めていくにつれ、サーッと視界が広がっていくような得もいえぬ爽快感を存分に味わうことができる。とはいえ、お箸の国に生きる日本人特有の“わびさび”的な感覚をしっかりキープしているのも彼らならでは。聴き手の琴線を心地よく揺さぶる普遍的な美しさをたたえたメロディと、ヴォーカリスト次松大助の素朴で温かな歌声をしみじみと味わえる喜び。日本人に生まれてきてよかったと心からつくづく思わせてくれる、そんな愛すべきバンドだ。 (望月哲) --- 2005年07月号

Miceteethの傑作CDのうちの1つ。
いつも思うが、一曲も手抜きがないのが凄い。
どの曲も非常に素晴らしい完成度で、楽しませてくれる。
今まで買ったMiceteethのCDの中では、この「from RAINBOW TOWN」と
「MEETING」とが双璧を成しており、優劣をつけがたい。
一曲目の「Rainbow Town」、7曲目の「なんて素敵な雨だろう」は、
全く飽きずに何度も何度も聞いている。
買って損をしないCDの1つと思っている。

Miceteethファンなら必携の一枚です。
廃盤になってから、あの時買っておけば、と公開するかもしれません。
初めてMiceteethの音楽を買ってみようという方にもオススメの一枚です。

スカの裏打ちリズム、キレイな旋律、やわらかいVo.次松氏の声。
これらがあいまって、心地よい世界に浸れます。
音楽にあわせて、自然に体が横揺れ。波に漂うような気持ちよさです。
梅雨のじめじめしたイヤな気分を、どこかに追いやってくれる一枚ですね。

相変わらず、とっても奇麗な音を奏でてくれます。
オーセンティック・スカの流れを汲む楽曲と、ポップな楽曲に二極化している気もしますが、私はそのどちらもとても好きです。
次松氏の声も、前作よりいっそう甘ーくなってます。もうトロトロ。
