2002~2003年に行われた、ローリング・ストーンズの「The Licks World Tour」にサックス/キーボード/オルガン奏者として参加したティム・リースが、ツアー中の空き時間を利用しジャム・セッション的に他のツアー・メンバーと録音した作品。ザ・ローリング・ストーンズのメンバー、キース・リチャーズ、チャーリー・ワッツ、ロン・ウッドほか、ノラ・ジョーンズ、ジョン・スコフィールドらも参加している。

ストーンズのツアー・メンバーのリースがツアーの合間に録音。ノラ・ジョーンズからジョン・スコフィールドまで豪華ゲスト参加なだけでなく、実際にキース、ロン、チャーリーら、ストーンズのメンバーがラリー・ゴールディングスやシェリル・クロウと共演している。★

ノラジョーンズのこの曲が本当に素晴らしい！
聞く前に「だいたいこんな感じのアレンジなんだろうなー」と思って
実際そのまんまなのですが、それでも体が震えるほどの出来です。
やはりノラの声＆楽曲の素晴らしさでしょうか？

~ストーンズファンでジャズもいける人には特におすすめ。ミックのヴォーカルでロックしてないと駄目という頑固者も世界が広がっていいかも。ノラ・ジョーンズが好きな人も、最近ちょっと飽きた人も、ノラなんて知らない人も、5.Wild Horses~~ だけのためにCD買っても損無し。素晴らしい。これ以外も驚くくらい素晴らしい出来。ストーンズのヒット曲を安直にコピー演奏したものではなく、ティム・リースならではのジャズしている。他の参加者の演奏、バックボーカルも素晴らしい。輸入版を買うつもりで発売を待ったが、日本版のみの8. As Tears Go BY~~ が捨てがたい出来なので、これだけの理由で日本版にして正解。ただし日本版は、2層構造ハイブリッドディスクなので一部のDVD再生機器では再生できない場合があると注意書きがあり、確かに私の古いDVD再生機器では不可。新しい方は問題なし。私のMacでiTunesに読み込み問題なし。ライナーノーツは隠れていて?付いてないのかと勘違い。とにかく、この作品は素晴らし~~い発見。私だけでなく多くの人々にも。~

ハイライトはやはりノラちゃんのワイルドホースでしょうね！
イントロがハープ(ハーモニカじゃない)で始まるところはまるで
夢を見ているようです♪オリジナルも超スローな曲ですが、ノラ
バージョンはさらにスローでティムのサックスが絶妙に絡みます。
他の曲もいいです。ルビーチューズデーやスリッピンアウェイは
ロマンティックなジャズで特にヒネリはないですが良いです…
サティスファクションなんてどうやってジャズになるんだろうと
思ったけど、なるほどジャズになってます。メロディらしいメロディ
のない部分のボーカルもサックスが強引に歌ってます。
笑ったのがホンキートンクウィメンのキースバージョン!例によって
例のパターンをキースがキメてるわけですが、まんまストーンズです。

jazz、食わず嫌いでした。スタジアムでお約束のナンバーもいいけどmickさんも隠居してのんびりこんな感じでplayすりゃいいのに。いまのところ私のベスト。
