これを最初に聞いたときは、脳天から股間まで真剣でもって
一刀両断にされた感じ。あるいは一切変化球なしの
4曲直球勝負に、３ストライク＋デッドボールで、
「ぐゎっ! や･ら･れ・たぁー」という感じ。
大音量で聞くほど不思議な爽快感に苦悩できます。

キワモノではなく自分をさらけだして、これだけの
楽曲作品をつくることのできるアーティストは今の
日本にはほとんど絶無と言って良い。
やはり倉ヨエは絶滅危惧種です。

前作『婦人用』で果てしなく落ち込んだブラックホールから
『人間辞めても』と『モダンガール』で宇宙の裏側に
飛び出してきたという勢いです。『東京ドドンパ娘』の
PVの花火が象徴的です。（『人間辞めても』のPVも圧巻）

『沈める街』では「街よ沈むが良い」と珍しく攻撃的ですが、
このCDから全般的に社会性を感じる曲が増えてきます。
この間、彼女を「初期化(『シャバダ☆天国』)」し、
成長させる何かがあったのかもしれません。
私の大好きな一枚です。

『人間辞めても』
そのタイトルに、
人間って辞めれるものなのっ？！
と思いつつ、私が初めて触れた倉橋ヨエコ作品です。

全4曲中、2曲目『東京ドドンパ娘』はカバー曲なので別として、
他3曲いずれも歌詞が細くて深いです。VIVAヤサグレ。

「あんたの職業はアタシの宝物」
としてしまうほど惚れた相手。
「人間辞めても、そばを離れない」
のは、如何に姿を変えてだと思われますか？
答えは歌詞に・・・ああ、女って。

シングルでありながら４曲入っており、
しかも各曲とも独特の味わいがあります。
常に新しい世界を見せてくれる彼女の魅力が
たっぷり詰まっています。

ただしタイトルになってる｢人間辞めても｣は
多少好き嫌いが出る可能性があるので、
初めての人は他のアルバムから聴いた方がいいかもしれません。
それが気に入った人なら間違いなくオススメです。
