概要
コンパクトサイズのスタイリッシュデザインに高機能を凝縮したネットワークウォークマン。3行漢字表示可能な有機ELディスプレイを搭載。512MB/1GB内蔵メモリーにCD約23枚/約46枚記録可能。低消費電力システム及びハイスピード充電により、3分充電するだけで、3時間も再生できます。また、最長約50時間の長時間連続再生が可能。
デザイナーのコメント
音楽を瓶の中に入っているリキッドに見立て、ガラスの香水瓶のイメージで、透明感のあるデザインに仕上げました。有機ELの表示画面に泡が立つアニメーションを用意して、本体のデザインと画面のインターフェースデザインの一体感を演出しました。
審査委員のコメント
香水瓶をモチーフにした全体のフォルムは、こだわりの材質、表面処理、インターフェイスのユニークなアイデアで美しい仕上がりになっている。デジタルオーディオプレイヤーの中でもソニーらしい独創的なデザインになっている。親指と人差し指で操作を可能にしたジョグダイヤルは操作の煩雑になりがちな小型オーディオプレイヤーには最適な機能で、その機能を全体の構成のなかに美しくデザインされている。また機能面でも3分充電で3時間再生はユーザーにとってはうれしい機能である。
