「ルガール総統の斗い」や「Fightコスモタイガー2」など完結編を彩った戦闘曲のいくつかが収録されていません。
その他の曲も完全版ではなく途中でカットされ、短くなっているものが多いです。
（このCDはもともと「音楽集」に入っていない曲を中心に収録されているので仕方がないかもしれませんが）

上記のことを見れば購買意欲がなくなるかもしれませんが、実はこのCDの価値は他のCDで収録されていない曲が入っているところにあります。
島大介のテーマが3バージョン、ディンギル少年のテーマが5バージョンと他のCDに比べて多いです。
中には未使用の曲も２，３曲収録されていて、ボーナストラックとして購入しても良いと思います。
完結編は宮川氏と羽田氏の合作で、これより前のヤマトの音楽とは少しイメージが違いますが美しい曲が揃っていて飽きることはありません。
値段も手頃で、しかもデジタルリマスターによって音質も良くなっているので、ぜひ一度聴いてみてください。

　羽田さんは上手い事にヤマトの音楽に溶け込んでますね｡宮川さんとの相性も抜群｡違和感がない。ヤマト完結編から羽田さんが音楽に加わっていますが、とても上手く溶け込んでいると思います。全く違和感が無い。
　ヤマトの音楽はストーリー以上に出来が良いみたいですね｡世界中、どこの名作映画と比較しても決して引けを取らない。世界に出しても恥ずかしくないですね。「え!?コレがアニメの音楽！」と思うでしょう。最初何も知らない人に聞かせたら。ヤマトって音楽は素晴らしく良いんですよね。惚れ惚れします。特に完結編の音楽はそれまでの中でも特に良いような気がしまう。羽田さんが加わった事により幅が広がった事もあるでしょう。勿論今までの宮川さんのものも良かったんですよ。二人になってマスマス幅が広がったと思います。

私は、子供の頃から好きではあったものの、それほど夢中になるまでは
いかないファンの一人でした。それが、今になって火がついた様にヤマトにはまっている自分がいます。
この時代背景や、宇宙に対する憧れがより強く感じられるのもある程度年齢を重ねてきたからでしょうか・・・。ヤマトファンは年齢層にかなり幅があるのにもこのヤマトの内容の強さ・充実さを感じます。
新たに、ヤマトが発進するという話も聞き捨てならない話です。楽しみに待ちながら、今までのヤマトを充分に回想・堪能できるシリーズです。すべて買い揃えたい気持ちになりました。
