この「青春の街」はシングルですが、この間のアルバムをみると「ＬａＬａＬａ」では夏、「風光る」は秋を、「冬がやってきた」は当然ながら冬、そして今回の「青春の街」は春・・・。そうです、これはきっと来年の「３０周年」にパワー全開の「夏」を迎えるプロローグなのでしょう。一気に駆け抜けた青春に「憂いて」ばかりじゃいけない･･･これからの「叫び」を予感させる内容です。千春さんの「人生」ともいえる「愛」と「物語」は今後も、さらにパワーアップしそうです。

それぞれみんなが青春時代を過ごした街がある。そこで恋をした相手との想い出、そして頼りない自分の不甲斐なさ、その相手が今度誰かを好きになることがあったら自分よりも強い人がいい、と願う。男の勝手な願望かも知れないし、女々しいと言えば女々しいかも知れない。だけど彼女の今後を祈ることは共感できる。帯広でのコンサートで生歌を聴き、特にそんな感想を強く持った作品である。
