結成10年、デビュー5周年。
そんな節目の年、2005年に待望の発売となったアナム＆マキの4thアルバム『QUNAI?』。
様々な事が次々と起こる世の中を彼女達の真っ直ぐな視線で捉えた歌、
ずっと昔からライヴで育ててきた歌、
愛する人を想った歌、
そんな彼女達のメッセージが濃厚に詰まった傑作。
それは聴く人へのメッセージでもあり、
自分自身へのメッセージでもある。
歌詞だけではなく、その素晴らしい楽曲と演奏にも耳を傾けたい。
いや、耳だけではなく、心で聴いてみて欲しい１枚。

2005 年にリリースされたアナム＆マキの 4 枚目のアルバムで、前作から実に 2 年振りの、まさに
待ちに待ったリリースです。

オモロカッコイイ <1>「QUNAI」 での幕開けは、久々の音源で肩に力の入った状態をリラックスさせて
くれて、自然にアナマキの世界に導入してくれます。
続く <2>「ピカピカ光る」 はおそらくアナム＆マキの代表曲となるであろう、アナムのナンバー。例のテ口
を初めとして、世の中で起こるいろいろな争いごとに対して、単なる反戦ソングといった切り口ではなく
傍観者である自分自身も加害者なのだという想いを静かに、だが力強く唄っている感動の一曲です。
他にも、まるで風景が目に浮かぶかのような <3>「雨のち風」（前作あたりからマキはこのような系統の
曲を書いているけど、すごくいいですね）や、アナムの甥っ子への溺愛っぷりが微笑ましい <7>「こぶた
のベイビー」 などに注目です。
また、<9>「うらない」 ではムッシュかまやつ、山崎まさよし、長谷川都らがコーラスで参加しています。

前作が2人称に向けた愛であったのに対し、今回のこのアルバムは生きとし生けるもの全てに対する
愛が詰まっているように感じます。
五ッ星評価：★★★★☆
