北海道に住んでいてもなかなか触れることのできないアイヌ音楽〜歌。百年前から口承のみで伝わるオリジナルの素朴さと力強さを損なわせず、真空パックにして届けてくれたのは、プロデューサーであるOKIの手腕だと思います。繰り返すフレーズの多用はループであり、元々音楽とは踊るためのものだったのだな、と実感させられます。もう安東さんの新作は望めないけれど、こんなに凄いアルバムを残してくれたんだ、繰り返し聴くことにしましょう。

アイヌ音楽の枠を越えてよりバラエティーに富んだ安東ウメ子さんのセカンドアルバム。


反復するトンコリ(琴)とウポポ(歌)、そしてハゥエヘ(合いの手)が静かに渦を巻きはじめて不思議な場所へさらって行かれそう。


大地から鳴るような音。


トランス必至。
