選曲が、Very Bestかどうか、ちょっと疑問でしたが、
全曲New Remasterという事で、買いました。

SACDを聞ける環境にはないので、CD層を聴いた感想です。

一聴した感想は、「何か音が変」でした。
通常のリマスターアルバムとは確かに違って、
今まで聞こえなかった音も聞こえるのだが…
なんだかバランスが悪い。
曲によって、ボーカル、ギター、ドラム、ベースのバランスが変わる。
聴いていて落ち着かないのである。

それと、Tattoo'd Ladyなどハードな曲がクリアに聞こえない。
リズム帯が誇張され、ボーカル、ギターが後に追いやられた感じ。
Calling Card のような、リズム主体の曲はたいへんクリアなだけに、
とても残念だ。

原因は、CD層で聴いているからだと思う。
SACDで聴けば、たぶん全然違うだろう。
要は、SACDのバランスなんだと思う。
ただ、他のアーティストのHybridはこんな事ないのだけれど。
いずれにせよ、SACDで聴いてないのですべて憶測です。

なのでSACDで聴けない人にはあまりオススメしません。
しかし、SACD対応オーディオが欲しくなるアルバムである。
