~~こういうテレビ番組のサントラを買ったときにはいつも思うのは、なぜテレビで使われている曲の長さそのままで収録してないのかという事です。
今回も「ガイアの夜明け~鼓動~」がフルバージョンで収録されているがテレビバージョンがあっても良かったのでは。
エンディング「夜空の花」はくどいほどバージョン違いで収録されているのに...（笑）。
以~~上が~~星一つ分のマイナス点です。
番組が好きな人は買って損は無いと思います。
役所広司の一人芝居のバックで流れている曲も収録されていて満足。~~

「ガイアの夜明け」の番組に興味がある方には、音楽を聴くだけで番組内容に感情移入してみたりできて、とても良いアルバムだとおもいます。ただし、番組を観てても聴いたことがない曲がほとんどでした。しかし、BGM用のアルバムとしてもよい仕上がりだと思います。
よって星は文句なしの５つ。

特に番組をよく観る方は、オープニングがとても気かかるのではないでしょうか。とても耳に残る曲ですよね。クラシックなのか、アジアの民謡なのか、、、あの曲はなんだろうと。当然、番組で使用されるのと全く同じというわけではないのですが、初めてこの曲をフルで聴いて感動しました。
なお、image6（イマージュシックス）にも収録されたようですので、オープニングだけ聴きたい人はそちらでもいいのではないでしょうか。

ちなみに私はこのアルバムをCDレンタル店や販売店で探しましたが見当たらなかったので、 amazon より購入に踏み切りました。しかも割引があるのでよかったです。

メインテーマ曲は文句なしにいい。

そこまではいい、問題はその先だ。
このアルバムは「サウンドトラック」ではなく「イメージアルバム」と銘打っている。収録されている曲も、番組に登場するような経済人を「イメージ」させるものではあるものの、番組の多種多様な場面を想起させるような、喜怒哀楽を豊富に表現したものとはなっていない。なんとなく、オーバーワークでついうたた寝をしてしまった哀愁あふれる姿と言おうか、そういった雰囲気が全体的に漂っている。

その点を差し引いて聴くのであれば十分であろう。よって星はボーナス点で5つ。
