彼のマッチボックス・トゥエンティーの活躍を知らずにこのＣＤを買ってしまったのですが、何も知らない私でも彼の魅力にすぐに虜になってしまいました。この音楽センスのよさにはなかなか出会えるものではありません。
一曲目のthis is how a heart breaksがわりとノリのいい曲なのですが、三曲目のever the sameは優しい、癒し系になっています。いろんなテンポの曲があってほんとに飽きのこない、大事にしたくなる一枚です。
ほんとに久しぶりにイイアーティストに出会いました!!!

いや。最高すぎて久しぶりに音楽を聞いて興奮してしまいました。
というより聞きながら興奮しつつ書いています。

普段私は殆ど洋楽女性Voものしか聞かなく
主にR&Bを好んで聞きます。
しかしながらマッチボックスの頃から
彼は良いメロディーメイカーだと睨んでおり
紆余曲折あり今頃手に入れ本作を聞く運びとなりました。

断言しますが06年のグラミーは彼が
台風の目になることは確実でしょう。
もしかしたら年間レコードもマライア(耳）と
争うことになるのかもしれません。

これほどまでに優しく、暖かく、慈愛に満ちた
ロックアルバムを私は聞いたことがありません。
トラッシュから妻マリソルと出会い
その後の人生のテーマが｢二人で一緒に人生を築いていくもの」
に変わったと言う彼の発言も映画「Alfie」を前日
見た影響か深く伝わってきました。

彼のソロショーケースライブは本バンドと打って変わり
R&B調だとか。とても見たいです。早く日本でライブしてください。

久々に全曲良いと思えるアルバムです。どの曲も実にメロディが良い。
ソング・ライターとしての才能はピカイチですね。
Matchbox20と比べるとややロックな部分が抑えられメロウな感じの曲が多いです。1曲目This Is How A Heart Breaksはノリの良いアップテンポですが、
ロックな感じも残しつつとてもポップな仕上がりです。

最近車の中で毎日聴いています。他のCDもかけてはみるのですが、この1枚が良すぎてすぐに入れ替えてしまうくらいです。

ビルボードでも初登場1位でしたが、それも当然の結果と納得できます。

日本人の方にも馴染み易いメロディばかりですので、普段あまり洋楽を聴かないという方にもお勧めです。
