近年の刑事物は犯人を捕まえた時に見ていて爽快感がない。規制が厳しいのか、シャレの分からない人が増えたのかあぶ刑事の様に犯人を情け容赦なくぶん殴ったり派手な銃撃戦をする様なシーンはなくなり、踊る大捜査線のように妙にリアリティーのある刑事物が受ける時代だ。そんな刑事物に飽きた、あるいは魅力を感じないという方はこのあぶ刑事シリーズをお薦めする。非現実的だからこそ魅力があるのだ。

ＢＯＸは高くて買えなかったので単品発売は嬉しい。しかし1巻あたりが高いけど。語りつくされた感のあるこのシリーズ、80年代ＴＶドラマの最高傑作のひとつかと。特に丸山昇一脚本の第1話が傑作。登場人物のキャラクター、設定や雰囲気を上手く説明しつつ、サスペンス溢れる展開で見事に「あぶ刑事」の世界を構築した全シリーズ中でも屈指の傑作。この第1話があったからその後の盛り上がり、人気が決定づけられたと思う。時代を反映した（いや少し早い）サイコな犯罪者に警察が翻弄される話が多く（第１話や最終話がそのパターン）、単に２人のかっこいい刑事が颯爽と事件を解決すると言う単純な展開だけでないところが面白い。よくある単純な話ももちろん多いが。新作映画も公開されるようで楽しみ。この作品から原隆仁や成田裕介、一倉治雄といった監督がデビューして、長谷部安春や村川透、西村潔、手銭弘喜などベテランの名監督に負けない作品を残している。（第２シリーズでは彼ら若手の方がいきのいい良作を堂々と撮っていて面白い）。

放送当時夢中になって見ていました。10,290円で何度でもタカとユージに逢えるなんていい時代になったものです！カーチェイスも、ジョークも、そしてなにより二人のかっこよさは何度見てもいつまでも、色褪せることはありません！！

今見ても違和感なく楽しめます。やっぱりあぶ刑事はすごい作品ですね。永久保存版です。やや値段が高いので購入を迷いましたが、買ってよかったです。
