私には今までいくつもの映画を見たがこれ以上の映画を見たことは無い。私が映画が好きになったのがこの作品なんです。
この作品はマーガレット・ミッチェルが書いたもので、１９３９年に映画化されたものです。驚きなのは作品の古さです。この年代にもかかわらずカラーなのです。つまり太平洋戦争前なのです。私が１９６０年代に見たときはモノクロだったような気がするのですが、まーいいです。
この作品の舞台は１８６１年のジョージア州です。南北戦争の南部のお話で、ヒロインはスカーレットです。スカーレットの運命を描いた一作です。本当にすばらしいです。
これからの将来、たくさんの映画が生まれる事でしょう、名作になるのもいくつかあるとおもいます。しかし、一生かかってもこの作品よりもすばらしい映画がでることはありえないでしょう。これはみんなに見てもらいたい。涙のでる一作であるとともに、歴史の移り変わりが拝見できて面白いと思います。ぜひ見てください。買って損はありません。
