2~3世紀の中国・三国時代を舞台にしたタクティカルアクションゲーム。プレイヤーは関羽、趙雲、夏侯惇などの1人の武将となり、最大4km四方にも及ぶ広大な戦場でリアルタイムに刻々と変化する戦況を見極めながら、1000人以上の敵味方が入り乱れる戦いを制し、自軍の勝利を目指す。途中でキャラクターを変更して進めることができ、また選択したステージの流れによって変化するストーリーを楽しむことが可能。総勢42人の個性溢れる英傑たちが登場し、それぞれの武将たちには固有のチャージ攻撃を用意するなど、個性を強化してアクション性を高めている。さらに、本作では武将エディット機能を搭載し、男女オリジナルのキャラクターを作成してプレイを楽しむこともできる。17のゾーンに分かれた50のステージで構成されたシナリオは、プレイヤーの行動によって様々な目的が設定されており、変化に富んだ展開を実現している。また、条件を満たしたときにプレイ中に発生する「一騎討ち」アクションのほか、新兵器や新ユニット、やりこみ要素も満載。さらに、グラフィック表示を大幅に強化したほか、音声は日本語/英語の切替が可能。また、字幕のあり/なしなどの要素も搭載。

正確には「真・三國無双３ハイパー」です。
真・三國無双シリーズといえば、ばっさばっさと敵をなぎ倒す気分爽快
人気アクションゲーム。
だが。
PS2版の発売から約2年、無双シリーズとしては2作前の旧作である。
しかも3はシリーズ中一番不評。
今更発売したにもかかわらず、PS2版の焼き直し＋おまけ程度で
この価格はないだろう。
ハイスペックなPCは持ってるけどPS2は持っていない人か、
コレクションとしてしか買う人以外には買う意味が無いだろう。
注意すべき点は、インターネット接続環境が無いと遊べない点だ。
毎回インターネット経由で認証しにいくということなのだ。
決して、ネットワーク経由で多人数プレイが出来るわけでない。

決してオンライン対戦ができるわけでもないオンライン認証。
このゲームをするときには必ずインターネットに接続した状態でなければいけません。
旅行先でやりたい人要注意です。
オンライン認証のせいか、一人一人ユーザー登録を行いますので、もちろん中古では買えませんし売ることもできません。
そこら辺をよく考えた上で買おうとするなら、旧作の3がいまさら出てもほしいかはなぞですよね。

敵がわらわら出てくるこのゲームの魅力も結局はPCに負荷をかけ寿命を縮めることになるのではないでしょうか？
PCのスペックもそこそこ高くないと動作が安定しないようなのでご注意を。

私PS2もってません、いまさら買うのもなぁな感じです。
でも三国志モノでコーエーな三国無双は随分前から気になってました。
そこに突然PCへの移植と聞いて早速購入してみました。

で、やってみてハマリました。おもしろいです、文句無く。
しっている武将をみつけてはオオウとかいいながら楽しく切り込みをかけてます。
PS2ユーザーにはいまさらな３（４でてますしね）でしょうが、初めて三国無双をする方なら十分楽しめるんではないでしょうかね。

ただネット認証が面倒です。ゲームを始める時にいちいちパスワードいれて認証するのがとても面倒ですね。
また、ネット環境の整っていない田舎って（ウチの実家も）コーエーさんは今後切り捨てていくつもりなんでしょうかね。事情があるのはわかりますけどね。
このソフト自体はとてもいいゲームだと思います、ただネット認証に対しては多少抵抗があるので星４としました。
