注目の若手フラメンコ・ギタリストの2作目。本場に近づこう、ではなく、独自の美学を発展させていこうとする姿勢が好ましい。打ち込みを用いている曲もあったり、フラメンコの本質を内包しながら、その伝統性と同居する今日性が楽しく、爽やかな印象を残す。

ブラジル音楽におけるsaigenjiやBophana、ジャズにおけるPE'Zやsoil & “pimp” sessionなど、かつてはある種の距離感を持って接していた音楽を確かなスキルと今日的なセンスで日本の土壌に溶け込ませる音楽家が続々と登場している21世紀。今度はスペインの伝統音楽であるフラメンコを現代的かつ日本的に響かせるフラメンコ・ギタリスト、沖仁が3年ぶりのセカンド作を発表する。ポップス・フィールドでも、最近ではJazztronikの「Madrugada」や信近エリの「Voice」に客演している彼だが、本作ではプログラミングも行えば、畠山美由紀らヴォーカリストを招いた英語詞曲も収録。7曲目の「Caipirina Caipirina」はラテンとフラメンコが融合し、8曲目の「Rumba swings」では4つ打ちの踊れるリズム上でパッションがほとばしる。時に熱く、時にさわやかに、柔軟な感性が吹き抜ける彼の音楽は筆者のようなフラメンコ門外漢にも優しく、豊かな歴史の扉へ、そして、その先へと誘ってくれる。 (小野田雄) --- 2005年06月号

フラメンコギタリストという事でもっとクドイものを想像していましたが、心地良く爽やかそれでいて力強く美しい！一回でファンに。車でかける今頻度ナンバー１アルバムです。

日本人のギタリストだといふことなので、少し敬遠してゐた。が、聴いてみると、1回で気に入つた。ＣＤ全体を通して、ハズレがない。お薦めです。しかし、歌がフラメンコらしくないので、星一つ減点。
