過去に発売されたアルバムを聴いていた人によっては、
｢なぜあの曲が入ってないんだ｣という事もあるかもしれませんが･･･
ま、本人選曲ということで納得するのみです。

ただ、ちょっと曲によってマスタリングのばらつきがあるのは残念。

あとひとつ。
本人のライナーノートで、所々をわざわざ英語で書いてるのが
カチンとくるのはご愛嬌。

内容的には、既発のベストと重複している曲が少ないのが良い。
選曲については、評価の分かれるところだろう。
音質も良くなっている（・・・ような気がする。）
このアルバムやワーナー時代の同タイトルのアルバムを聴いて、新しいファンが増え、再評価されてほしい。
某アニメに関係する曲とボーナストラックが全体のバランスを崩しているのはマイナス。
もっとも、その辺りにレコード会社の意向と、本人の主張が見え隠れしているわけだが・・・
ジャケ写も内容と同時代のものを使用してほしかった。

いわゆる「愛・おぼえてますか」のイメージが大きい飯島真理だが、
それ以外の曲も、アニメあり、主題歌ありと、
わりと、小耳に挟んだ程度の感覚で、フレーズに憶えがあるので、
苦なく聴けるという印象が結構強い。
歌も悪くはないし、詩も曲もうなずける部分がたくさんある。
80年代に放たれた良質のポップスの一片を知るには、
非常に良い材料であると思う。
だが、正直聴いていて、ここまでひとりよがりの歌を
聴かされると・・・っていう感じもする。
時代背景や本人の心情変化などで、
作品に及ぼす影響も大きいと思うが、
たまに、解釈に苦しむ詩があったり、
内容がよくわからない作品がある。
もう少し「ファン寄り」に来てくれたら、
ちょっと嬉しかったかな・・・と思う。
