“な、中森明菜!?”と、今までのLeyonaを知る者にとっては仰天モノのジャケットに面食らってると、聴こえてくるのは朝本浩文がつま弾くコロコロと転がるようなピアノ・フレーズ。そこからはいつも以上に極上リラクシン&チャーミングな歌と演奏がLeyonaの新たな魅力を伝えます。 レーベル移籍第1弾ミニ・アルバムとなる本作に通底するのは南国的ムード。50年代のカリビアン、ハワイアン・ミュージックのテイストにダンスホール・レゲエのリズム感を加味した冒頭曲「太陽は知ってる」、スラックキー・ギターとプリミティヴで賑やかなパーカッションのリズムが可愛らしい「月影のビーチ」といった前述の朝本のアレンジによる2曲はその好例だし、鈴木正人(リトル・クリーチャーズ)アレンジによるカリプソの名曲カヴァー「レヨナのバナナ・ボート」は、ジャズ・カリプソとでも形容したい複雑かつ豊潤なサウンド・テクスチャーのうえにアタック感を強めた打ち込みのビートとウィスパー気味のヴォーカルが踊る激スウィートな逸品。もちろんビターなテイストも忘れていない。新進気鋭のジャム・バンド、Special Othersとコラボレートした2曲は、ニューオーリンズへと向かう土臭くロッキンな哀愁ロード・ソング。乾いた空気感と小気味よい疾走感のうえに溶ける凛々しい歌声が美しい。 ミニ・アルバムながら過去作以上に彩り豊かなヴォーカルの表情が、カリブ、ハワイ、ニューオーリンズなどの都市を巡る音楽旅行をナビゲートする。ソロ・シンガーでありながらその歌声には“バンド感”が充満しているからこそ、その道程は“仲間とワイワイやってる感じ”の楽しさなんです。ブラック・ミュージックに根差したロック、レゲエ、ブルースなどのルーツ音楽をチャーミングにプレゼンするバンド・ウーマン、Leyonaと出掛ける新たな音楽旅行。アナタも同行しませんか? ~曲はとても良いです（特に４，５曲目）
LEYONAのボーカルも相変わらず素晴らしいですが、今回のアルバムの音質は今までで最悪です。

LEYONAのリリースしてきた作品は邦楽の中でかなり音質が良い、とオーディオファイルの中では密かに有名でした。
今回　レコード会社が変わり、音質がどう変わるのか非常に危惧していましたが。。。

一言で言うと、LEYONAの~~最大の魅力「声」の生かし方を知らないアレンジ、マスタリングなんです。　特に酷いのが一曲目！
曲全編に薄っぺらい打ち込みの音が前面に出ていて、LEYONAの声もパーカッションもギターもピアノもよく聴きとれず、非常に安っぽい印象になってまるで台無しです。

この一曲目のアレンジを担当した朝本氏とマスタリングを担当したエンジニアの方には今後は退~~場していただきたいです。　次もこうだったらもう買いません。

３，４，５曲目は個人的好みではないですが、まあいい仕事できているんじゃないかと思います。~

いや~、ジャケット見た時点でやられました。こんなビューティフルなLeyonaは初めてです！　しかも曲もいー！、Ｅ！　コラボしているSpecial Othersというバンドも初めて聴きましたがLeyonaにマッチしていてGood。鈴木正人プロデュースの「バナナボート」ゴージャスなアレンジ！！　とにかく濃い内容のミニアルバムです。フジロックも初参戦ですし、ライブもかなり期待大です。
