1999年、『Exodus』はタイムマガジンで、20世紀において最も重要な意味を持つアルバムに選ばれたが、それは妥当というものだ。日常生活と無意識な感覚を46分の完璧な作品に仕上げたボブ・マーレイの幻想的な傑作。オリジナルレコーディングは見事に再現され、おそらく今までで一番引き締まったウェイラーズの演奏が収録されている。深い沈黙の中から音がしだいにはっきりと聞こえてくるオープニング「Natural Mystic」は、音楽が過去、現在、未来と徐々に変化していくという印象を与える。前半部分はマーレイの焦点が都会に生きる日々の問題から、もっと重要な宇宙の真実を理解することへと移っていく様子を表現し、後半部分は人間関係をやや物憂げに見ているような「Jamming」「Waiting in Vain」が特徴的だ。

激しさは無いが、ゆっくりと落ち着いた曲が連なります。
ボリュームを下げて効けば、寝る前のリラックスに最適！！
昼間は、ライブ盤で熱くなり。。夜はＥｘｏｄｕｓでヒーリング
