3.0 out of 5 stars 1979年ということが貴重である, 2008/12/19
1980年のライブも聴いている。付録でなんとかかき集めたビジュアル素材を拝見
出来る（音声無し8mmや音付きスライド）フリクションは栄華を極めた期間が
極端に短く、彼らのライブに行ける事自体が奇跡に近かったので、もちろん貴重。

PILにすっかりかぶれた『SKINDEEP』でかなり既存のファンが離れた気もしたが、
やはり彼らの進化はそれとして皆が見たいのはこの時期なのである。

オーディエンスに音をぶつけてゆく醍醐味が彼ら魅力だということがこのアルバム
ではわかる。「凄い！凄い！」と言われて聴くと、若干肩すかし食らうと思います
ので、1979年というピストルズが暴れていた時期の日本からのアンサーとして
先入観無しに受け止めてほしいです。

「凄い！凄い！」といくら言っても言い足りないのは三上寛くらいです。

FRICTIONはとにかく疾走するビート感がたまらなく、後から続々と出てきた
スキャンダラスなパンクロッカーとはそこが違う。

日常ではニューミュージックが全盛、サザンが過激と報道される中、彼らが
こういった音楽をやっていたことが既に価値的に思う。

この場所の居た者として書きます。前日名古屋で、満員の客（といっても１００余名）の前で、神格化する直前の熱気を放出して（中には手をあわせ拝み込む者もいた）、翌日、京都に付いていきました。平常の彼等と、ライブの彼等はまるで別人で、磔磔の楽屋（２階）から現れたその瞬間、”FRICTION”になり、物凄いパワーを発しました。ライブ事体は、後のハードコアーと同じく、やり場のない焦燥感を観じさせるもので、その音が、ここに詰まっています。ライブ終了時、観ている者としては、脱力感と共に、彼等が神格化された瞬間を間の当りにしました。ここから、ファーストアルバム間での期間に、より強靱なものを作っていくことは、確信するに足るものがありました。

自分は、このライブが録音された磔磔の観客の一人として証言する。フリクションはこの1979年の春、東京ロッカーズツアーの一環で京大西部講堂でライブを行っているが、数少ない京都での彼らのライヴ経験からすると、これは正に名演と言って良い。オープニングからエンディングまで疾走する、音。これは、今聞いても凄い。この夜、最前列に陣取った僕は、COOL FOOLよろしく、椅子に座ったまま、ただ呆然と聴き入っていた。とまれ！ノスタルジーに浸ることなく、ボーナスDVDと共に再び彼らの音に耳を澄まそう。軟弱な今どきの日本ロッカーとやらが聴いたら、ぶっ飛ぶこと確実！！！！
