アルバム『一思案』以来の作品。一曲目の『影踏み』はJRAのイメージソング。2曲目の『うれしいこと。』は一青窈本人が出演する【レニューマルチプラス】のCMソング。

影踏みは聞いていてホント切なくなってしまう曲ですが、最後の方で救われる！という感じです。

うれしいこと。もとてもいい曲。楽しい気分になっていくような、朗らかな感じの歌です。

「影踏み」はＪＲＡのコマーシャルで好きになり、曲そのものを全部聞きたくて買いました。テレビＣＭも子馬を競走馬に育てあげていく牧場や厩舎の人たちの馬への愛情が、モノクロでやさしく仕上げられていますが、曲そのものもやさしさと切なさにあふれています。まぶたを閉じて情景が浮かぶ曲ですね。

独創的な詩の世界観、独特な歌いまわしは健在。

一作目「もらい泣き」、二作目「大家」は、
聞かせる詩であり、うけの良い曲だったと思う。

三作目「金魚すくい」、四作目「江戸ポルカ」は、
独創性が強く、遊び心が詰まった作品だと思う。

五作目「ハナミズキ」は、根底には9.11のテロがありながら、
大切な人とせめて１００年続きますように・・・。
と多くの人が願い、共感できる詩に、
受け入れやすい曲がマッチした作品。

六作目となる今作は、
メインの「影踏み」とカップリングの「うれしいこと。」が
ＣＭソングとして使われている。
もう一曲のカップリング「いないばぁ」を含めて、
春の優しい陽射しと、穏やかな風を思わせるような作品。
３曲とも、大切な人、大好きな人へ書かれた詩だと思う。

「ハナミズキ」がすごく良い作品だったので、
正直、今回はそれほど期待はしていなかったが、
「ハナミズキ」に劣らない作品に仕上がっている。
