前作は快作だったにもかかわらず、セールス的にも評価も芳しくなかったことに（何故だ！）ベン自身悩んだ時期もあったとか。その後、自身や家族と向き合ってこの作品が生まれたことは想像に難しくない。
ＢＦ５時代のようなパンチの効いた曲が無いためか、最初はさらりと流してしまうが、後からじわり沁みてくる。（まさにスルメです）
特に輸入盤特典のDVDは、美人の奥様が撮影したレコーディング風景を中心に、ライヴ、かわいい子供たちの様子が収められており、プライベートの充実ぶりもうかがえる。
国内盤よりこちらをおすすめしますよ。

聴いていて心地いい、ベンちゃんの癒し系サイドに絞った感のある
アルバムだと思います。透き通ったピアノに控えめなバンドサウンド、
そこに優しいボーカル。気持ちいいです。
ただ、「アンダーグラウンド」のような鍵盤を叩きつけるパンクスピリットや遊び心はここには感じません。なので少し物足りなさもあるかも。
グッドメロディーに癒されるアルバムとして聴いてみては如何でしょうか。
輸入版付属のDVDはリージョンフリーです。おもにベンちゃんのドキュメンタリーが見れます。（当然）字幕なしなので厳しいですが…
でもお得な気分になれますので輸入版がお勧めです。

これは噛めば噛むほどに味が出る『するめ』のようなアルバムです。
１回目は、すんなりとあっという間に１１曲が素通りしてしまう感じ。で、繰り返し聴いていくうちに色々な仕掛けや聴き所を発見したりするわけです。メロディや詞、アレンジに至るまでベンはこれまでのどのアルバムよりも時間を費やしたのでは？と思いたくなる内容です。ファイブ時代のような荒削りでインパクトのある曲は見当たらないのですが、全体的にハートウォームで心地よいサウンドが印象的。具体的には、それはピアノの音やコーラス、ベンの声に表われていて、洗練されたというか、あか抜けたというか、更に磨きがかかってきたという感じ。ところで本作では、ドラム＆ベースはベン本人でなく助っ人が参加してます。だから曲作りやアレンジの方に集中できたんじゃないかなって勝手に思ってます。
とにかく、まだまだ味がでてきそうなので、まだまだ噛み噛み出来そうです♪
