ジンマンは真の意味での“革新家”である。とりわけチューリヒ・トーンハレ管とのベートーヴェンの交響曲全集やR.シュトラウスの管弦楽曲集などは、挑発的とも言える大胆なアプローチで度肝を抜く。そのジンマンがブロンフマンを共演者に選んだ。旧ソ連のピアニズムの威力をまざまざとみせつける超人的なヴィルティオジティを持ったピアニストである。彼の弾くベートーヴェンは件のベートーヴェンとは次元が違う印象すら受ける。端的に言えばハイヴィジョン映像のごとき鮮明度と立体感! 演奏ではまず、オケの自発性の高さが鮮烈で、各々の楽器が室内楽でも興じるかのようにきわめてポジティヴな表現で絡んでいるのに驚く。しかしそれにも増してピアノが目も覚める刺激的な表現を繰り出してくる。それはあたかも古代の壁画に施された彩色が鮮やかに蘇った感激に似ている。見違えるほどに刷新された感のあるピアノ協奏曲。センセーショナル必至のアルバムである。 (齋藤弘美) --- 2005年06月号

ジンマンの指揮は、速めのテンポでノンヴィブラート、ユニークなアクセントと、これまでの交響曲や序曲とスタイルは同じです。ブロンフマンのピアノは、大げさに聴こえたりテクニックをひけらかすようなことはなく、清々しいリズム感と柔らかなタッチでオケとよく調和してます。ジンマンの速めのテンポ設定に難なくついていけるテクニックは、さすがという感じです。ベートーヴェン的（ドイツ的）な暗さや重厚さ、息苦しさが全くない、すっきり爽快、新鮮な演奏です。
