   海辺の家から引っ越そうとするウンジュが、次の入居者のために郵便ポストに手紙を残す。その手紙が時間をさかのぼり、2年前にそこに住んでいた男性・ソンヒョンの元に届いてしまい、ふたりは時を超えて愛の書簡を交換することに。
   桟橋の先にある、海の上に立つ家。そのシチュエーションだけでも雰囲気満点なうえに、クリスマスになると、海岸沿いの木にイルミネーションが飾り付けられるなど、映像には終始うっとり。同じ時間では会うことが不可能なふたりの恋の行方が胸をかきむしり、2年後、すなわち彼女のいる時間に会おうと約束する彼らに訪れる意外な運命…。ケータイやメールを使って、あまりにも気軽に連絡がとれてしまう現在の私たちには、手紙、しかも2年の時間の溝という設定は、とっても新鮮。ソンヒョン役のイ・ジョンジェが、純粋な青年をまっすぐに演じ、女心をくすぐりまくる！（斉藤博昭）

主人公たちが直接言葉や感情を交わし合い、ロマンチックな場面を盛り込んだハリウッド版も素敵でした。　が、海の家のさまざまな表情が主人公たちの孤独や切なさを訴えかけてくるような韓国版のほうが、私には何とも言えず胸にジンときます。　
映像も相手を思いやるふたりの心も美しく描かれた作品。　手紙の中の言葉もとても素敵です。　ハリウッド版と見比べてみて改めて愛おしさを感じました。

　作品内容は皆さまが思いの程を綴られた通りです。私的には好きな作品で通常版のＤＶＤは持っていますが、今回のを購入してしまいました。ＴＨＥ　ＰＥＲＦＥＣＴ　ＣＯＬＬＥＣＴＩＯＮはメイキング有り、主題歌のイメージ映像有り、付録のポスターカード　復活版のパンフレット…。イ・ジョンジェ、チョン・ジヒョンが好きな方にはお薦めです。特にジヒョンのメイキングは映像が鮮明なので肌がピチピチしていて（今もキレイだけど）見る価値ありだと思います。

　初めて観る方には不思議な感覚になりますが、小説（発行されてます）を読んで観るのも良し、観てから読むのも良し。　両方とも楽しめる映画は近頃無いのではないのでしょうか？

実は、あまり期待せずに観た。
というのも、正直、韓国映画においては、期待を裏切られることが、あまりにも多く続いていたから。
でも、この作品は、それらとは全く違った。

息をのむほどの、映像の美しさ。
日本人でも違和感を覚えずに済む、抑えた感情表現。
一連の韓国映画ブームの枠に収まらない、普遍的に優れた、美しい映画だと思う。

作品の持つみずみずしさから、てっきり若い監督の作品かと思いきや、監督は1960年生まれだそうである。
寡作の監督であるようだが、今後も注目したい。
