AIRアニメの4巻（通常版）。

原作よりもかなりスピーディな展開で、原作を知らない人は「？？」ナ部分が多い･･･とは私は思いません。
確かに原作を知ってしまうと速過ぎる感じはありますが、別にストーリー的には問題ないと思います。実際私はアニメ→原作の順番でしたから。
要所はきちんと描写されていますし、その描写も実際に動いている絵を見れるわけですから。
特に第8話の戦闘シーンはスピーディでかなり格好いいです。あれはアニメならではの演出ですね。
第7話も海がとても綺麗で、凝っているなぁと思います。

個人的にはこの通常版、パッケージにやられました。
何でしょうか･･･この反則的な絵は。見るだけで泣けてきます。

常ながら思うこったが、台詞がなんかこう、恰も渡る世間は鬼ばかりの如く長いというか、叙情的なんですね。
悪い意味ではないのですが、説明臭くて口頭表現が些か大袈裟なのですね。
後半は平安時代へと移るのですが、そうした叙情的表現がこちらの方がぴったしじゃないのかと。

前巻の６話で美凪・みちる編は一区切り付き、今回の７話は観鈴が中心だ。
とは言っても、これまでの話の中でも少しずつ観鈴シナリオは進んでおり、
７話はAIR全体のいわゆる「第１章」のクライマックスが収録されている。
この時点ではストーリーがどういう展開を見せているのか
まだよくわからないかもしれないが、非常に重要なところだ。

そして第８話。
ここでもまだ理解が追いつかないかもしれないが、
この1000年前の話がAIRの核心にあたると言っても過言ではない。
雰囲気も変わってついていけないかもしれないが、特にこの８話と次巻の９話では
柳也のナレーションに注意を傾けておきたい。
ダイジェスト版のような流れなので、展開の説明する場面が多くなり、
その中でAIR解釈の鍵となる内容も含まれている。
