どの曲もCMなどで耳にしたことがあるものばかり。曲名にピンと来なくても、聴いてみるとあの曲だったのか、と思うことが多いはず。ドライブのお供に最適ではありますが、ノリノリの曲が多いので、スピードの出し過ぎには注意してくださいね。でもジャケットにあるように、これを聴きながら自然の中を走れば、それは気持ちいいんだろうなぁ。1曲目から、サッカーでおなじみのあの「クエスチョン・オブ・オナー」がかかるんです。ノラナイわけにはいかない内容です。

個人的に嬉しかったのは、映画「ネバー・エンディング・ストーリー」のテーマと、ベリンダ・カーライルの「ヘヴン・イズ・ア・プレイス・オン・アース」が入っていたこと。この2曲が、自動車のCMで使用されていたとは驚きでした。どちらも一度聴いたら耳に残る、印象的なメロディが特徴です。
ザ・バーズの「ミスター・タンブリン・マン」等、聴く人によっては懐かしい曲もあります。この曲はCMで知りましたが、軽やかで爽やかで、まさにドライビング・ソング。
コンピレーションアルバムはたくさん出ていますが、これはその中でも統一感のある1枚だと思います。ノリノリの曲達を連れて、ドライブに出掛けてみませんか？

「自動車CMタイアップコンピレーション」と銘打っているだけあって、
ドライブに最適な１枚。でもこの手のCDはすでに「SHIFT -NISSAN CM TRACKS-」と
「DRIVIN' -Music for Holiday Drivers-」の２枚が出ているわけで、
それらと３曲もダブりがあるのはちょっといただけない。
とはいっても、ワールドカップ予選でもかかりまくっているTrack1や、
クラシックのコンピにしか収録されていなかったTrack20など、
聞きどころはたくさん。
持ってて損しない１枚だと思います。

テンポの軽い曲やビートの効いた曲が多いので、とても聞きやすく、気分の良くなるＣＤです。
個々の曲では、ほかのＣＤではほとんど見ない４番、逆に大変ポピュラーな６番１０番１１番、クイーンのカヴァーである３番、バナナラマや長山洋子がカヴァーした５番、この曲以外にも大ヒットを飛ばしてるデュランの１２番などがお勧めです。
ただ、１番が・・・。
大好きな曲なんですが、このＣＤでは尻切れ気味に終わるのがいただけない。せっかくだからもう少しアレンジしてほしかった。なお、2001年に出たRadio Editが「Now Best Returns」に収録されてます。
