5.0 out of 5 stars DVD化を待ち焦がれた日本映画の傑作, 2005/4/29
　『心中天網島』は低予算のため、モノクロで、セットは舞台の書割、少ない出演者と見るからに貧弱なのですが、篠田正浩監督の描き出した映像の美しさはモノクロ世界の極致、前衛的なまでに絞り込んだセットは日本の様式美の極限と言っても決して言い過ぎではなく、岩下志麻は日本女性の美しさを妖艶さ、可憐さ、脆弱さ、手強さなどを織り交ぜながら様々な角度から見事に表現しています。その演技力には改めて驚かされるでしょう。

　大作ではなくそっと心の隅に残しておきたい珠玉の名品、一粒の黒真珠のような輝きを放つ映画です。テレビの画面ではモノクロ画面の地味さゆえに映像の美しさが半減してしまいます。できればこうした映画だからこそ大きなスクリーンで見たいと思うのですが、それは叶わないでしょう。
　DVDで『心中天網島』を鑑賞するときには可能な限りにその情念の世界にどっぷりと浸れる環境を作って意を決して見てください。

心中物はそこに到る因果が難しい。それが甘いとうそ臭く、感情移入ができない。本作品は、
「義理」がテーマだが、世間体ではなく「女の義理」に視点を向けることで新鮮さが増した。
黒子も最初は単なる黒子だが、義理が重くなる度、段々それを見つめる影になっていくのである。

おさんは、自分の夫が入揚げる遊女小春に手紙を書いた。「二人の子供に夫を返して」と
書いてあれば、小春は応じなかった。ところが「治兵衛を死なせないで」と書いてあった為、
愛する男を死なせたくないという共通の想いが一致した。そこに女の義理が生まれたのだ。

近松門左衛門の有名な「名残の橋づくし」から道行の場面、冒頭タイトルのバックで流れる
篠田監督と脚本の富岡多恵子が電話で打ち合わせている墓場で、二人は最後の愛欲を
交わす。その後ろの墓石には、「紙屋治兵衛」の銘が暗示のように既に刻まれていた。

これを映画と呼ぶのか？という疑問はありますが、篠田監督のチャレンジ精神溢れる衝撃的作品です。だって画面に黒子が出てくるんですよ・・・それも存在感たっぷりに。どの位変わってるのか私の貧しいボキャブラリでは説明出来ないので少しでも興味があるなら見てほしい、極道とは違う岩下志麻のもうひとつの顔も見れる。
