~タイトルを見るとデュオアルバムかと思ってしまいますが、Tommy Flanagan, Paul Chambers, Jimmy~~ Cobbのピアノトリオをバックにバレルとコルトレーンが共演する、オーソドックスなハードバップです。
全体の雰囲気はコルトレーン色が強く、バレルのブルージーなテイストはあまり表に出ていません。また、ピアノがいるためか、バレルはソロに徹しておりバッキングはほとんどやっていません。唯一M4のバラードWhy Was I~~ Born　がバレル＆コルトレーンのみの純粋なデュオ演奏で、バレルらしい繊細なコードワークとコルトレーンゆったりと歌うソロのコンビネーションがすばらしいです。~

英語の知識がいい加減なもので、愛聴盤であるにもかかわらず１曲目のタイトルを長い間“Flight Trane”だと勘違いしていた。正しくは“Freight Trane”
“Flight”は飛行、飛行便。
“Freight”は貨物運送。
意味が大きく異なっていたのだが、テーマをコルトレーンとバレルが奏するあたり、まさに聴き手が航空便のように空へ舞い上げられるような心地。

（ポール・チェンバースのアルコが苦手な方にはどうだかわからないが）全体的に最後までダレない演奏。
しかもここでのコルトレーンは具体的なわかりやすいコルトレーン。
雨の日のはじまりに元気をつけるのにもってこい。
４曲目のバレルとコルトレーンのデュオもいい。
