最近になって、ようやく学校などでも評価されてきているようだが、なぜ、皆自分の国「日本」の文化を見直すだけでなく、「目に見える形」で演奏してみようと思わないのか？別に私は、「国粋主義者」でもなんでもない。バイオリンでもギターでも民族音楽でも、いいものはいいのだ。例えば、私は「ラヴェル」のソナタが好きだ。ベートーヴェンの「月光」もいい。ジプシーキングスも素晴らしい。何がいいたいか？それは、「魂」の音である。主な弦楽器にのみ言えるのだが、弦が或いは弓が音を出しているのではない。木。それも特にヴァイオリンだが表板を外した中には「魂柱（こんちゅう）」があって、これを中心に音が出るのである。「魂」の音。この凄さを「実体験」してほしい。このＣＤは、その通過点・端緒に過ぎない。
