ラフマニノフのピアノコンチェルト２番の聴き比べの過程で購入しました。
はじめて聴いたのはカヴリーロフ×ムーティのもので、いたく感動したのですがどこを探しても売っておらず。
そののちアシュケナージ演奏のものに出会ったのですが、
本当に素晴らしい演奏ではあるものの、ところどころ好みと違うところがあり、じゃあリヒテルはどうだろう？と買ってみました。
アシュケナージ×ハイティング（コンセルトヘボウ管弦楽団）は
ピアノの音の多彩さに負けず、オケは正面から迎えに行く感じで、
聴いていると深く濃い海原のなかに包まれているような力強さを覚えます。
それに対してこのリヒテル版は、ちょっと聴くとピアノの一人勝ちかと
思うのですが、オケはスッと身を引いたり逆に堂々と存在をあらわにしたりしながら、見事に自分とピアノとを引き立てて行く感じで、
また全然違う素晴らしい演奏なのだと気づかされます。
ちなみに、コンチェルト２番以外の収録曲も大変マルです。
『パガニーニ』が特にオススメです。

私が最初にクラシックに興味を持った学生時代には(十年程前です…)高いわりに録音がマズいものもあったりしてなかなか手が出せなかったクラシック。
いまや安くなって録音技術も進歩して…いい時代になったものです。

しかしこちらは遥か昔の録音も入っている訳ですが、それがとても素晴らしい!
リヒテル氏のピアノ演奏には酔いしれました。
しかも格安!!

好みはあるでしょうがラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲2番入りのものとしては最高のコストパフォーマンスと思います。

いい買い物でした。

「ピアノ協奏曲第２番」を聴いてラフマニノフに興味をひかれていたところ、この価格で２枚組というお得感もあり、購入しちゃいました。

「ピアノ協奏曲第２番」はリヒテル演奏版です。ほかのピアニストが弾いたものも聴いてみたんですが、個人的にリヒテルが一番好きです。ピアノに存在感がありとても重厚な造りになっているように感じました。

「パガニーニの主題による狂詩曲」は「ピアノ協奏曲第２番」より難解な曲かなあと思いますが、聴けば聴くほどひきこまれます。
