ニコ、マイクオールドフィールド、マイクラトリッジ等のゲストにサポートを受けた７４年の意欲作、サウンドについては何と表現すればいいのでしょうか？日本人アーティストで譬えられる人が思い浮かばない。日本人がこのような音楽を出してもきっと売れない。誰もついていけないオンリーワンな音楽といえる。１２３あたりまではまともな曲、４はソフトマシーン時代の曲の焼き直しらしいが、女性コーラスの迫力満点でインパクトの強烈な曲である。B面は組曲はニコとデュエットの曲がものすごく暗い、怖い、不気味な曲である。組曲はニコがからむこの曲以外は好きだ。特にラトリッジの浮遊感あふれるオルガンは前作収録の「インタビュー」のような感じ、「two goes into four」はライブの定番曲、今回の再発版で、前回未収録だった「アップソング」がボーナスで収録されている。このアルバムの宣伝のために企画されたライブが１９７４年６月１日に行われ、ライブ盤としてリリースされている。

ケヴィン・エアーズの74年のアルバムが紙ジャケ、日本独自リマスターで登場。前作『Bananamour』でも登場したゴスペル調の１曲目を聴けば、やっぱりこの人も米黒人音楽からの影響があったんだと納得できる。本作はそれが顕著で、(4)、(6) はブルース、(5) ではジャズにも傾倒している。(2) のカントリーまで登場するに至っては異色作とも思えるが、(5)でのヘヴィなアレンジやアナログＢ面にあたる (7) 以降の退廃的な曲調では従来のエアーズらしさが全開している。ただアイランド移籍第１弾ということで気負い過ぎ、全体的に作為的な感は否めない。(4) のような秀逸なエアーズ流ブルースのさりげなさが最も彼本来の資質に近いのだろうと思う。ボーナス・トラックの (9)はオリジナル・アルバム未収録の74年シングルＡ面曲。型押しジャケが見事に再現されているのが嬉しい。

このボヘミアンを誰か叱ってやればいいのに！！
このアルバムに彼には珍しく長尺の曲があるわけなんですが
いいなあこれが。いいんだよなあ。
一曲目からしてこのアルバムは
ずんずん歩く馬の足が生えた船のような感じで
いつだって夢博士はチェルシーガールに旨いぶどうを食べさせてもらいながら
月の海に浮かべた帆かけ舟で居眠りをしているのです。
現代人でならベックとか好きな人はドツボナンジャアナイノカナア。
