AYUのライブはいつも最高ですが、このCOUNTDOWN LIVE 2004-2005はみんながよく知ってるシングル曲＆懐かしい曲をたくさん歌っていてAYUファンじゃない人にも楽しめると思います。おまけでついているオフショット映像もなかなか良くて、リハーサル風景や本番前の様子が撮影されていて結構笑える＆楽しめました。

まずこのＤＶＤは、映像がきれいです。
新しいからなのかもしれませんがほんとにきれいでびっくりしました。
あと音も5.1チャンネルサラウンドで収録されているので、大迫力なライブを見ることができます。
またライブ（本編）も、最近のアユだからでしょうか、歌がとてもうまい（落ち着いてる）ので安心してみて聞いていられます。
そして特典映像満載で楽しんで見れます。
ぜひ皆さん買って楽しんでください。

2004年12月31日のカウントダウン・ライブ (CDL) を丸ごと収録したDVD。前年の年末ライブは、選曲・演出ともに全国ツアーの序盤戦という印象が強かったが、今回は、ツアーとは切り離されて12月30日と31日だけの独立したライブとなった。あゆ自身、今年の年末ライブにはいつもより準備の時間が確保でき、万全の態勢で臨むことができたと述べている。周到な準備の甲斐あって、歌心と楽しさいっぱいの完成度の高いステージが実現された。CDLが久々に単独のDVD として発売されたのも、自信の表れだろう。

カウントダウンの前後にはノリノリの曲が配置されているが、全体を通しての選曲の特徴は、初期の作品、特にシリアスな曲やバラードが多く取り上げられていること。原点を確かめるかのような心のこもった歌唱だ。ライブ直前に発売されたアルバム MY STORY からは５曲が歌われている。どれも良い曲だが、特に、コンサート定番の Who に代わって最後に歌われた winding road は、あゆの今の心情を吐露した曲で、あふれる涙が印象的。

演出面では、evolution、flower garden、AUDIENCE の３曲が和太鼓グループ「梵天」との共演で、大いに雰囲気を盛り上げてくれた。AUDIENCE の途中でカウントダウンとなるが、曲の流れにピタリと合っており、綿密な時間配分に脱帽。

声も絶好調だ。ただし、Trauma の２番の歌詞がスッポリ抜けて、あゆがブチ切れに！　不思議なことに、コンサートで必ず歌うこの曲で、あゆはよく歌詞を間違えたり忘れたりしてしまう。でも、新年幕開けのお祭り気分が最高潮に達したときの出来事で、このハプニングを聴衆もバンドメンバーもダンサーも思いっきり楽しんでいる様子なので、☆の数は減点なしにした。てコンサートの楽しさを追体験・疑似体験できるDVDだ。
