あまり期待はしていなかったのだが、これはイイ！
結構歳をとってしまったので、最近はヘヴィなものはあまり受け付けなくなってきたが、それでもTNTは今でも聞いています。
そのTNTのヴォーカル、トニー・ハーネルのプロジェクトという事で聞いてみたところ、何ともカッコいいドラマチックな音世界でした。
ギターはかなりヘヴィなのですが、そのヘヴィなサウンドとトニーが歌うキャッチーなメロディのバランスが絶妙。
TNTが好きな方はもちろん、フェアウォーニング等メロディアスハードが好きな方に絶対おすすめ。

ほぼ全曲、オフィシャルサイトでサンプルを聴いていたし、『LIES』に至ってはPVも観ていたのでなんとなく予想していた感じではあったけど、曲はマグナス・カールソンが担当で詩はトニーが担当というのがちょっと意外。歌メロ自体はトニーが口を出さないはずはなかったであろうメロディーだけどもマグナス・カールソンのコンポーザーとしての幅の広さを感じますね。間奏になるといきなり『LAST TRIBE』になるような感じもあってとっつきにくい感もないではないけどもこれがなければ単なるポップなロックバンドに終わってしまうんで、これはこれでありですな。またオフィシャルサイトで明記していたようにトニーがこれまでにないようなアグレッシブな歌い方で迫力がある。TNTも次の作品は激しいものになるようなことを言っていたけど（どのバンドもよくそう言うけど笑）STARBREAKERが続いていくようであれば同じようなアルバムは作れないけどこの路線はかなりいいと思う。単純明快で爽快。サビにはすがすがしささえ感じる。

　かつて８０年代ＨＲ／ＨＭの中でも欧州系のメロディアスなバンドが好きで当時のＣＤを購入していくうちにたまためぐり会ったのがこの作品でした。軽い気持ちで購入してみましたが、完全にはまってしまいました！
　最近のバンドはあまり知らなかったので、ＭｉｄｎｉｇｈｔＳｕｎ、ＬＡＳＴＴＲＩＢのギターリストといわれてもピンとこなかったのですが、Ｍ.カールソン最高です！！ギタープレーはもとよりコンポーザーとしての才能にも惚れ込みました。正直イメージしていたサウンドとは若干異なるもののエッジの効いたゴキゲンなロックナンバーばかりで、キャッチーかつメロディアスで飽きのこない曲展開にすっかり彼の大ファンになってしまいました。その後あわててＬＡＳＴＴＲＩＢの全作品も購入してしまいました。
　自分にとってリアルタイムなＨＲ／ＨＭファンに戻るきっかけとなった作品です。
