やっぱりアメリカは広いだけあって、突然とんでもない新人が現れます。このWaking Ashlandは、新人にして恐ろしいほどの完成度を見せるアルバムを出してきました。

優しく、切なく、激しく、力強い楽曲の数々でしかも隙がなく、これが新人のアルバムかと思うほど感動します。
特に２曲目の「I am for you」などはまさに涙もので、「おぉ~！」と言う感じです。

基本的にはロック／ポップミュージックであり、他のバンドとの比較となると明確な個性というものはそれほどありませんが、これほどストレートで良質な楽曲を作るバンドもそういないでしょう。
お勧めです！

完成された美しいメロディーに驚かされます。「エモ」と括られていますが、美しいバラードも聴かせてくれます。早くも次のアルバムに期待してしまうバンドです。

トゥース&ネイルズの新人バンド。
個人的にはこのバンドの本質は、ストリングス等も
用いたしっとりとした曲観だと思っています。なので「I
am for you」のような疾走感あふれる曲ばかりでなかった
ことが逆に良かったです。
このバンドの特筆するべき点は、メロディが優れている点
だと思います。演奏もつぼを押さえた、嫌味のない
演奏になっていますし（若干ストリングスが多いですが）
日本版のジャケットがダサいことが気に掛かります・・・。

日本版のライナーのジミーイートワールドとの比較は
無意味かと思いますが・・・。
