ファンにとってはたまらないゴジラ音楽集。
昭和の黄金期のゴジラ映画の音楽は本当にかっこいいものが多く、
聴いていてあきがこない。
どちらかといえば、このモノラル録音のチープさが当時の薄汚い映画館を
思い出させて私には音とのマッチを考えるとベストと思えるがどうだろうか。
ただ後半の「南海の大決闘」「息子」関係の音楽は映画の内容同様、どうも今ひとつ。
それでも値段考えれば前半部分だけでもおつりがくると思うので、ファンは買いましょう。

完全デジタルマスタリングで蘇ったゴジラ音楽集の上巻です。
前半の名匠伊福部ＢＧＭと後半佐藤ＢＧＭを聴き比べるとそれぞれのカラーがハッキリしていて楽しめます。
メインはやはり怪獣大戦争テーマなのでしょうが、残念ながらこのアルバムテイクはこもった音で収録されています(>_<)
この企画ＣＤ上下巻とほぼ同時発売された「大怪獣伝説〜東宝特撮映画メインテーマ大全集」の怪獣大戦争テーマはクリアなサウンドなのですが…
「三大怪獣 地球最大の決戦」からは、黒部谷のテーマなるマイナーな１曲だけの収録ですが、下巻にはいろいろ入っていますよ。
メインタイトルだけでなく、このような挿入曲も多数聴けるのが魅力ですね。
下巻と合わせて揃えましょう！！

　このCDについての説明を私はよく読まなかったようで、上・下巻を同時に買ってしまってから驚いた。

　なんと、ドルビーだサラウンドだというこの時代に、「モノラル録音」だった！　しかも音質が悪い。不鮮明。　一言で言えば、ＡＭラジオ放送局がやった交響曲の放送をラジカセで録音したような感じ。ゴジラ映画はみんなモノラル？

　かててくわえて、選曲が悪い。このCDについての説明文に曲名が紹介されているが、私には曲名と曲の内容が結びつかないので、選曲内容の善し悪しは買って聴いてみるまで分からなかった。

　ゴジラシリーズには目標に向かって突進したくなるようなものとか、目をつぶって聴き入りたいようなものとか、すばらしいＢＧＭがたくさんあるのに、、、、残念。

　まあ、曲の好き嫌いは個人の好みが大きく関わるので、私の評価を割り引いて読んでもらってかまわないが、少なくても私はもう一度聴く気分になれないでいる。
